Weeks ago, a professor (whom I respect and admire) asked me to organize weekly transportation for this service thing she's doing in her lab. I did so - but not all the way. I erroneously assumed that I only had to contact a certain office and someone else was supposed to actually secure the car. Nope, it turns out I was supposed to do both. And now I am trying to scramble around and get it worked out, but since I waited so long there aren't any vehicles available at that time on those days. I can't believe I screwed this up so spectacularly. It was an easy thing.
