But I don't really see anything bad, or good for that matter, in terms of politics about which you could say that "the EU countries are leading the way" of the US. Polarization, populism, irresponsible spending, failure to balance the budget - none of those are things you need our supposed leadership for.
While the US is admittedly quite skilled in that regard ourselves, I think Europe still wins the prize

Pretty sure any agreement reached or not reached is going to revolve around the words 'agriculture' or 'carbon', although France's various cultural contamination concerns might make it in there.
