I'd take this article a lot more seriously if it focused on his criminal and dangerous behavior at the wheel, not on his sexual orientation. The man's divorced, he can date who he pleases, assuming he was even involved with the guy in question. I would guess that the vast majority of women who have gotten rides home from clubs with me were friends or just acquaintances I was giving a lift home if I was sober and they weren't. Big emphasis there is 'sober', what he did wrong was drive a vehicle while intoxicated. I don't believe being gay, going to a gay bar, giving a man a ride, or being a republican is against the law or inherently immoral, nor last I checked was any combination thereof.
