Emilia Clarke's eyebrows are one of the more entertaining things about that show. Ghavrel Send a noteboard - 08/03/2019 12:11:38 PM

More seriously, don't forget the "if you do bad things, you'll do well" rule that the show has apparently taken up. Even the books (and consequently, the earlier seasons of the show) were relatively clear that many of the powerful characters are successful because they're willing to do whatever it takes--not because they run a torture dungeon in Winterfell and do literally everything in their power to alienate the people they're ruling.

The Bolton storyline was just horrible. Everything from beginning to end, including that overwrought and interminable dumpster-fire of a battle that had everyone gushing, was boring. I quite liked the show up until season 4. At this point it's just a chore to watch.

"We feel safe when we read what we recognise, what does not challenge our way of thinking.... a steady acceptance of pre-arranged patterns leads to the inability to question what we are told."
