82nd Oscar Awards: The dresses - Edit 1

100% unimpressed this year. The only who struck me as well dressed was Meryl Streep who--while not much on the wow-factor--was classy and well dressed, in my opinion. Everyone else seemed to be wearing some horrendous dress they managed to wear reasonably well, or some decent (or even splendid) dress that they wore like a brown paper bag and suited them as well. And even if someone wasn't dressed poorly, there was just no one who leapt out and declared "I am a beautiful goddess of wardrobe and you may all kiss my sweeping hemline!!"

And what was with the wishy-washy washout trend this year? The LBD may be a bit overplayed, but there's a reason it's a classic. Because wearing white, sliver, light baby butt, whatever, will wash you out to hell and back unless you're one of those lucky women who it doesn't. Of what I saw, I saw maybe 3 or 4 ladies wearing a light color they could actually pull off wearing.

All in all, a subpar performance, ladies. You can do better.

This brought to you by a rare occurence of my second x-chromosome piping up it's of-ignored voice.
