Re: And why say that? Ragnarok - 29/01/2003 03:36:38 AM

What I meant is the end of the EU in its current form - it is currently split right down the middle. If the UK go to war in which Germany and France are very much opposed against it will have serious consequences, and could lead to the UK's withdrawal.

nope, never gonna happen, i am not going to explain the whole thing, because it would take to much time. & the benefits of being in the EU are to huge.

While this crisis itself wouldn't mean the end of the UN, it could quite easily result in the US ignoring it, bypassing it or whatever in the future. That would spell the end of it. If you don't believe me look into its precursor the LEague of Nations ...

The US never ratified the League of Nations. The problem was that some big nations weren't a member of it & i think that every nation had a veto then (but i am not sure). The UN is important for the US. The problem for the US is that it needs the UN but it doesn't like it when the UN has to much power. I haven't got the time right now to explain it more in detail. But i will give you a more detailed answer soon..

Fair enough if you disagree with me but at least give me some reasons why.
