Cause I administer IQ tests, and therefore any score you got from me would be invalid, but evaluating other tests I have taken, with known psychometric properties (how they vary, and covary with IQ scores), I would estimate between 135 adn 145, i have seen my wife's IQ, 140 (quite possibly smarter than me
) when she is feeling very generous she says she must be smart since she married me
Arn't we sickening. Depending on the scale used 100 is usually the average and scores occur on a bell curve. If the Weschler scales are used (most common in the US currently becuase they have the best and most well documented psychometric properties) the standard deviation is 15 (standard deviation is a statistcal measure that measures how far the average person's score is away from the average, I'm not a stats geek and this isn't the best explanation) The Stanford-Binet uses a standard deviation of 16. With the current Weschler tests, the maximum score possible is 155, on Stanford-binet I believe (feel free to correct me if I am wrong) the maximum is about 200 for adults, but children can score higher. There are specialized tests for individuals with higher IQ's than that, but they would only be needed for 1 in a million type cases, so are not well validated psychometrically. Basically if your IQ is over 150, most people will not be able to tell the difference, it's kind of the difference between Isac Newton and Albert Einstine. Some tests give really inflated IQ scores, but some of the quick tests seem to be pretty accurate. I have seen several people take and score the e-mode one, and the number value for IQ seems to be pretty spot on in most cases.
Getting an education was a bit like a communicable sexual disease. It made you unsuitable for a lot of jobs and then you had the urge to pass it on.
