well, yes. You can go to the toilet basically whenever you like. And you are allowed to bring food as long as it is not noisy.

How do you possibly pace yourself? Just 5 minutes too slow each hour and you'd be in a horrible mess later on...hm...I suppose I should just back away and be glad I don't have those terror-exams......one more nice 1hr 20min exam and then mine are over till the summer

Well. I have never sat the time out. Usually get up and leave after an hour and a half at 4-hour exams, and after three hours in 6-hour exams. May be different this time, though, as it is a more detailed course.
