What were your favorite events?
the track and field things... by far. As a runner up, there's always handball and table tennis, but no swedish team in the handball this year made it a bit more uninteresting...
What were the most memorable moments?
From a swedish pov: mens' high jump, he had been world nr. 1 for two years, and made a mess out of it, but managed to pull himself together and win it. Good boy.
Also, when the old man in the table tennis tournament made it to the semis... beating world nr 2 and world nr 10 to do so... It was impressive, considering his background. It was also fun, considering his opponents were trained by people who started playing 6 years after he himself did his first international championship... He's old.
Another memorable moment was the whole Lima thing. While I do not believe he would have won it anyway, at least he would have had the chance...
Which athletes impressed you the most?
Roman Sebrle in the decathlon... pulling off such a good series in an olympics takes some guts...
Liu running the short hurdles... it wasn't supposed to be a world record..
And that young boxer from england... khan or whatever. he really had the chance against one of the best boxers ever...
What were the moments you enjoyed that you feel were under-rated and didn't get the attention they deserved?
ah. I felt they threw attention on everything around here. horrible, it was.
