if she didn't mean hurricanes then she shouldn't have said hurricanes, for Christ's sake. Whether four hurricanes or forty is absolutely irrelevant to the global warming debate because hurricanes are not made more frequent by global warming. They occur more frequently during periods of global cooling. Period. Those are the facts, plain and simple. To say that they are part of a larger pattern is foolish at best, and disingenuous at worst. How can you include in a greater overall pattern occurrences that follow an entirely different set of rules? You might as well suggest that the impending volcanic activity at Mt. St. Helens also relates.
