My accent in my native language (Dutch) is naturally very mildly south-eastern, but I ALWAYS shift into the accent of whoever I'm speaking to. I try not to, because people think you're making fun of them, but I just can't help it.

In English, my accent is a funny mixture of Dutch and generic northern English (on the account of hanging out with far too many northerners ), but I do occasionally slip into other accents, depending on who I'm talking to. A friend of mine is from Kent, and she's got a very 'contagious' accent. Usually takes only about 5 minutes for me to start talking like her when she's around. Also, one of my housemates is Scottish, and I've recently started picking up stuff from her as well, as well as the odd Irish pronunciation from my best friend's Irish girlfriend. By the end of the year, my accent's going to be seriously weird...

My accent in Frisian is very tipical of the area around Drachten, because that's where all my relatives are from, and I never formally learned any Frisian - just picked it up from family and friends during visits. I don't speak it well enough to slip into other accents though.

Same goes for other languages...I suspect my accent in Italian is a strange blend of Tuscan and Sicilian, on account of my teacher being Sicilian but most of my time in Italy having been spent in Tuscany; my accent in German is very generic, and my accent in French is just bad. I don't speak any of those well enough to slip into regional accents though.
