yeah, that makes sense...

I've heard worse. Where my husband is from (Guanajuato), they actually say "on ta" instead of "donde esta"

Or maybe I could have been more specific and said it sounds more throaty in places, more like honda instead of onda for the words where no hache should be. But it's just hard for me to pinpoint it exactly, but I've never been able to pick out the words as well in Mexican dialects, especially when the mestizos y indios are speaking it as a second language.

You know, I kinda felt wierd the first time I went to Mexico to visit my in-laws because I realized I had a man's accent. There are many guys here but not very many women brave the crossing...especially back then. There are alot more here now. Anyway, I was around groups of women and they definately had a different accent from the guys. I was hoping they didn't think I was manly or something
