In one conversation. Unilingual people tend to stick to their own accent when dealing with other accents (From what I've seen...) whereas polygots (thanks for the above post ) tend to shift their accent to match those they speak with.
Hm, right. In one conversation... it depends. Mainly on how good I speak the language to begin with - kind of hard to adopt other accents when you don't even speak the language perfectly.
Are you uniligual? Are we just talking English here? I'm confused...
I'm from Flanders, the Dutch-speaking part of Belgium. We speak Dutch, but our accent greatly differs from the Dutch accent... and the Québecois thing was obviously when speaking in French.
