Yes it was before the Iraq invasion etc. But I seem to remember he was being threatened with military at the time (I could be wrong here). The West seems to be going to fast in welcoming him in when compared with what he has given - he hasn't even ruled out terrorism n the future and yet he has been welcomed with open arms by the EU.

that the whole affair has gone on long enough, take what is given and build on it. Look at Iran, Syria, etc. THese states commit human rights abuses and allegedly support terrorist groups. They are not as isolated.
