I think the site has changed. There are fewer posts that lead to (a) flame wars or (b) intellectual debates (the two of which of course become merged quite easily). Also, I'm sorry, but there has been a radical upswing in stupid, senseless posting about utterly trivial matters (meaning that, for the site, the percentage has increased).
I don't think the amount of posts the lead to debates are down, I think there are plenty. I just think that people aren't really debating. I guess you mean something really contirversial(sp?) like gay marrige and abortion and stuff.

Maybe I just haven't noticed the increase in stupid posts. It really doesn't make a difference to me. But if you feel there should be more intellectual posts, why not post something yourself?
Would you deprive me of one of the last fun things to do on this site?

Well, it's not so much the mock, but the intent. If you're mocking someone to be funny, thats fine. But if you're doing it to try and hurt the person, I don't think thats right.
