I'm 100percent in support of gay marriages. There are so many rights that come along with marraige that homosexual couple can't get. If two people love each other, I say they have aright to be together, no matter what society thinks. And if they've been living together for twenty years and then one of them dies, it isn't fair if their partner doesn't get ownership of property, or even custody of children. In marraiges, the spouses have these rights. Without them, they are gone. It's horrible to deny people something like this.
And concerning W.'s bit about an amendment banning gay marraige: that would be the only amendment ever added to the Constitution that denies the rights of a specific group of people. Descrimination, plain and simple. That's not what the US is supposed to stand for.
