Before you say that it's well-known and appreciated, I point out that it is merely the case that those of us who have read it are very vocal in our support. I've seen praise for Tarrant as a fantastic villain and character, but rarely do I see the series mentioned save by known advocates.

Add in cover art by the amazing Michael Whelan and it's a completed series that deserves more attention.
