There's definitely some names repeating. I'm cautious with non-sf/f books because they tend to be depressing. But I went ahead and bought I am Legend and I, Claudius. (I've read Robert Graves' book of greek myths and loved his writing style, albeit in translation). The Gone-Away World is next in the buying pile.
Except for Never Let Me Go, I've read the rest of your list. Memory, Hyperion, Pandora's Star are all some of my favorite books too (although not top 10; they were great books but didn't hit an emotional spot for me).
Why did you like Never Let Me Go? I saw some other books by this author listed in this thread. I don't need the plot, but why the book spoke to you, how it made you feel.
This thread gave me an idea of doing a "list swap" - to read a book from a person's list (of your choosing, but one that you haven't read yet) in exchange for them doing the same.
