I was trying to remember the name of series I read some time ago and was hoping to get some help. They were not great books but I liked them and was wanting to get them for my son. The books (three I believe) take place on a planet that is turning very slowly and the main character lives with a tribe of people who migrate so they stay in the daylight but in front of the scorching noon sun. They live sort of like gorillas and the males are thrown out when they reach maturity. He somehow ends up with some higher tech ice people who live on the twilight edge. That is really all I can remember.
