"Daughter of the Empire" was my first real introduction to Fantasy, other than Tolkein.
I loved the Feist/Wurts collaboration and went on to read "Magician" and of course RJ's "Eye of the World".
I picked up "Mistwraith" and thoroughly enjoyed it! The language Wurts uses in this series is different; more elaborate, perhaps at times even overly so. However, she at least knows the meanings of the words and phrases she uses. Nothing irks me more than authors using words incorrectly; sloppy writing and sloppy editing.
The wait between books is at times too long, but it is worth it. Wurts' characters are well depicted and are very definitely not your common or garden good guy/bad guy stereotype.
If you haven't read her books, do yourself a favour and give them a go.

See, I like these books, but looking back at it, the first book seems... underdeveloped.
