I mean, come on, in French books all they do is drink wine, eat cheese and have adulterous sex, and sometimes question the futility of being, take poison or participate in revolutions.

In Akkadian books (or, more accurately, tablets), men fight gods, gods fight gods, they all have sex with each other (sometimes in the Netherworld or with mythical beasts), they travel to mythical lands and chop down trees with demons in them, they attack giant birds (and get attacked by them), they smash enemies in war and wipe out entire nations in fits of genocidal whims, they summon terrible plagues by spilling the blood of innocents and they try to raise the dead in unspeakable ceremonies.
