I was a little disappointed with the first 2/3 of Dragon Keeper, but the pace began picking up towards the end of book 1, and in this volume, book 2, hit the ground running in a worthy follow-up to the Liveships Trilogy and Farseer Trilogies. The character development of the first volume finally paid off, and we got some great mythology reveals about the elderlings, dragons, and the history of the Rain Wilds.

I am curious as to where the story will go in the next volume, as it's usually the second volume that ends with our heroes down and out, but in this case I felt Dragon Haven ended on an upbeat and positive resolution for most of the characters.

Now if only Fitz and the Fool would show up. *le sigh*
