Alas, I did not manage to enjoy it to spite you.

It is indeed thoroughly underwhelming and over the top, and pretty much just plain bad.

I still think that the treatment of Collins isn't as bad as you think.


He murdered his housekeeper's daughter, and considered murdering his lover, and Dickens of course. Quite bad, I'd say.
