I think love is reserved for somethign deeper, more meaningful. But overall, the novel was pretty well written, and quite enjoyable. I never found myself wanting to not read it or put it down and do other things. I read parts of it in my room, parts of it outside, and even in my car while waiting for laundry to finish. I think it is a good sign when I could tell anyone who asked to go ahead and read it as opposed to I'm not sure you'll like it.

Is it a classic? No. But I also wouldn't want to equate it to a lot of the humdrum that gets spun out in bulk by the industry; I think it is substantially better than most of what is put out and shoved onto the shelves of the grocery or drug store near you.

I have to give a kudos to Harkaway for writing a pretty well thought out and well put together novel for as first effort. If he chooses to continue writing I am sure he will get even better with time and practice. I am very surprised at a lot of the Amazon reviewers who seemed to be confused by his style. While it is a bit rambunctious and free flowing throughout I never found myself lost or not understanding what was taking place (in the general sense as the twist certainly surprised me).

I thought the book was good enough to put it up on my Facebook page as a recommendation.
