I mean it is sword but it beats lasers. That cool humming makes it the space age equivalent of the pump shotgun. Cuts through anything except your own robe and it comes in any color so you can get one to match your shoes.
The speeder bikes were cool but only if you are riding them through the woods with overgrown teddy bears sitting on the back.
