I was just wondering if we could get some discussion here going on the subject of Jon's parents. I'm not widely familiar with the debate, so if it has been resolved or come to a near conclusive decision just smack me and tell me I am dumb. I personally suppose that the Rhaegar and Lyanna theory makes the most sense, and of course, would be the most dramatic so maybe I'm just hoping it will be that. The only problem is that I feel like that even with Ned's honor obsession, he would at the very least tell Cat, I mean, her honor obsession is definitely comprable and it would save young Jon from a lot of misery in his early years.

And WHAT rigid morality? Why don't you give me a clear cut example of his moral "rigidity"?

That is NOT moral rigidity! It was weakness and a huge moral failure!
