I don't LOVE them, but I did enjoy them. And I'm not overly embarrassed about it, I just don't bring it up here because I don't want to have to start smacking people around.
And I love the Dragonlance Chronicles, along with the Companions series. I really don't care if people hate them.
I love, love, love the gritty american novels that some people hate because the writing is inelegant or the stories are about people doing ugly things (Catch 22, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, etc).
I'm usually more embarrassed to admit it when I hate something I am supposed to love, or feel too stupid to read something a friend recommended. I'll be ridiculed for the rest of my life, but even though I want to love Eco, I've never once made it past one of his "I'm a genius and I know all of the following stuff" tangents.
