Death, although exceptionally busy at all times, decided that He now had a hobby. There was something about the wizard that irked Him beyond measure. He didn't keep appointments, for one thing.

Especially forcing us to read it in small pieces (well, not forcing, but you know what I mean) -- it makes it easier to notice smaller things that you would usually note and then forget as you pass on.
