General impressions and main themes, etc.
I imagine most people got into HP before Order of the Phoneix, due to the 3 year wait after Goblet of Fire and because the first movie came out during that break. I first picked up Sorceror's Stone after reluctantly watching the movie. I was very impressed by the movie so I thought I would check out what all the hype was about. I finished all 4 books in 3 days! Then I did the whole midnight thing for the last 3 books.
I didn't read it for over a year though, because I was fighting off "reading a kiddie book." I'm glad I caved though.
