I have fond memories of the Swords books...I read them in middle school and liked them a lot. *NM*

The Swords Series was my first in fantasy. Still love it to this day. Even without much character development (aside from the Swords themselves) the books progress nicely and do a great job of telling a story for each sword.
The Books of the Gods uses one of the coolest ideas for Greek/Roman/Scandinavian/Hindu Mythology. If you haven't read this amazing series, go check it out.
