It sounds like Mistborn might be a good place to start, and then I can check out Way of Kings. Thanks for the review and the info!
It's offered for free so people can sample his work without spending any money.
Obviously it's an ebook, so if you don't like reading on your computer or you don't have an e-reader it's not much help.
Just click on the "Get the Current Version" link for the PDF. I think you can find other formats at the "Other Versions" link too.
But still definitely check out Mistborn and Elantris. Those are some very good books.
