I know, I know, it's not yet September, but this is a good way to kick off the new site!


What are you reading now?

What are your plans for September?


I've finally given in and started reading the Malazan series. I'm about halfway through, and rather enjoying it.

Next, I'm planning to read "Possession" by A.S. Byatt, thanks to a recommendation/review of it I saw on the ol' OF board.

Meanwhile, I've been listening to a collection of P.D. James' 'Adam Dalgleish' mysteries in the car as I commute (hooray for the local library). I've finished "Cover Her Face", "Death of an Expert Witness", and am now in the final third of "The Murder Room". What amazing characterizations and descriptions! But rather bleak at times. Still, every time I listen, I have this urge to either drink 'strong tea' or 'hot coffee'. I don't think a single scene goes by without someone drinking either tea or coffee.
The chief difficulty Alice found at first was in managing her flamingo.
