Don't think so... Zeeb Send a noteboard - 23/08/2010 06:22:11 AM
I don't know if this has been discussed (since I don't visit boards that talk solely about the series, as I don't really have too much time to view any beyond this one), but I am re-reading the series and I noticed something odd.

In the House of the Undying, Dany sees "Glowing like sunset, a red sword was raised in the hand of a blue-eyed king who cast no shadow..."

Now I'm sure Stannis has blue eyes by default, but I'm wondering if Martin is throwing a much deeper foreshadowing in with his regular foreshadowing. As of the most recent information we have Stannis up north, right? What if he becomes an Other and leads the "real baddies" against the combined forces of Dany/Jon/whoever else doesn't kill each other?

I think he casts no shadow because the red woman keeps using sneaky shadow babies to go and kill his enemies. Naughty.
