You have to keep in mind when they were written wheelwright Send a noteboard - 01/09/2010 09:32:14 PM
I not going to say where, but I remember one line in which two teenage charaters are walking along, and one of their phones rings...after the call the other charater says I packed my phone in my luggage so my parents couldn't reach me.

Today it means nothing, but if you consider the book was written in the late 1940s or early 1950s its pretty cool.

Also a lot of stuff we know today was unknown so something that you may laugh at was thought to be feasible.

Not to mention the mentalities / cultural restrictions.

But if you keep all that in mind and are just looking for a fun read I'd recommend any of the above.
