Hi Rafonauts
Want to get out of your reading comfort zone?
How about we do a little reading challenge and read something outside of our usual types of books?
For example: I might read a lot of fantasy, but Jehosaphat might read loads of mystery books. So I suggest one of my favourite fantasy books for Jehosaphat to read, and he suggests one of his favourite mystery books. We then read them, and post a short note on the MB about how we got on. And presto! I've got another genre of books under my belt and reading is more fun. Like magic.
Yes?
If you want to join in, just post your usual genre as a reply. And, if you read something very different from another person then reply to their genre with a book suggestion for them to try. We'll keep it to just one book each. If, however, you've read the book suggested to you then reply saying so and someone else can suggest a different one.
Or, if you read quite a few different genres but there's one that you've never tried, then reply with that (and a comment like: "I've never read XX" ), and someone can suggest a book for you.
Does that make sense?
I've got no idea if this will work.
But it's totally worth a try.
