I enjoyed the premises. Tashmere Send a noteboard - 12/09/2009 01:20:02 AM
The mechanics and story lines are good. I just have a hard time connecting with most of his characters. Somehow I never feel that I really get to know them on a deeper level.

"Land in the Sea of Time" was the first book I read. I started the Oregon series but got distracted half way through by another book that came out that I had been waiting for and haven't gotten back to finish it yet. Craig has really enjoyed those series.

One thing that I did like, but don't know enough about it to know how accurate it was, was his portrayal of Wiccans in "Dies the Fire". It was nice to see them portrayed more accurately (I hope) than in the past. I don't like seeing any religious beliefs or belief systems demonized, including atheists. That always leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I like it when authors just let their characters be real.

:)
