Gibson and Sterling are good writers in their own right; ask me how much I'd prefer to have seen the Sprawl Trilogy turned into a movie series than see the Matrix (hey, but at least the Wachowski Bros. managed to steal that term when they stole the entire story from yet another author. ) And, yes, I'd feel that way even if I wan't a Texan who considers Sam Houston a demigod.
