Techincally I read it in October (Sunday evening), but I just read David Weber's "Out of the Dark". I think he had a good story, but it wasn't nearly as developed as it could have been and the ending blows goats. I almost regret not reading "The Passage" when I had the chance, but for some reason I enjoy the alien invasion apocalypse more than the vampire apocalypse.
