In general, though, I'd somewhat compare this to a Robin Hobbs-esque series: relatively slow and descriptive compared to some of the more action oriented series out there, but rewarding to the reader.
I actually quite liked the Farseer Trilogy, or at least the first two books. For whatever reason, this one hasn't really struck my fancy so much. Thanks for the input, though!
