Hah! And I did. - Edit 1

As I told you, I loved it.

However, I found the idea of the concierge "having" to hide her real self because concierge's are never intelligent somewhat difficult to believe. It just doesn't feel right in this day and age. I could definitely have believed it in the 70s, and even 80s, but certainly not in what must be the late 90s or early 2000s.

I didn't have any problem with the English. None of it felt out of place in the book.

I loved how precocious Paloma was. She reminds me of my little sister, although Gabrielle doesn't need to hide her intelligence.

And Kakuro was so lovely!

Next time I read it I want to have a pot of green tea, some macaroons, and an overstuffed couch in a room with a fire. That would feel perfect.
