Sadly, anything by Robin Hobb tends to turn me off within 30 pages.

I loathed Vellum so much that I never finished it and donated it and its sequel without cracking the second's covers.

I maintain my eternal distaste for the Twilight series.

Quicksilver by Neal Stephenson... but that was quite a while ago and I am contemplating trying again and re-evaluating my stance.

Also Stephen R. Donaldson books are just plain awful. Dreary plot, horrible main character... just bad.
