Ok, I know some of you are big fans of this book, so I'm asking this in hopes that there is some hope for the book. I've just barely started reading the book, and at about 20-30 pages in, it's in contention for the worst book I've ever read. I'm not sure why I should care to read 5 pages of descriptions about different types of Pencilnecks, or a 1/2 page about how a bar smells like pig poop.

Please tell me it gets better if I stick with it for a bit, because right now I pretty much hate it.
