I need book recommendations for a 12-year-old girl. Not fantasy. At all.

It's all she reads and I'm trying to get her to read other things.
I've got The Giver by Lois Lowry for her, but I need something else.
She's precocious, so her reading level is way above 12, but her innocence level is (as I think) where it should be. I do not want to get her anything that's going to bother her to read.
She read Daughter of the Empire by Janny Wurts and Raymond E Feist recently and found some of the scenes with Mara and Buntokapi (I've forgotten how to spell his name) properly disturbing. So she's not ready to read about sex stuff yet.
Is that enough info?
