For some of the denser people around here a few suggestions might help.

As in:
DO tell us what the good things about the book were, if any.
DO elaborate.
DO try to present a unique thought of your own in connection with the book.
DON'T tell us the whole story, complete with ending.
DON'T just say something was "great" or "awful".
DON'T use run-on sentences.
Example of a sentence from a good review:
I think what I enjoyed most about Lolita was the effortless, flowing prose and masterful descriptions.
Example of a sentence from a bad review:
OMG Goodkind is so awesome I think everyone should read this book it is really cool.
