I have declared January a month of classics and am trying to get through as many as I can. After finishing Alice's Adventures in Wonderland I picked up a copy of Paradise Lost. I then put it back and started reading The Swiss Family Robinson by Wyss. Heh. Should I actually read PL? You make it sound scary.

While this is intended for Legolas, I'll give you my answer: I don't think it is beyond you. You could always read the first book and then put it aside if you find it impossible. But if you are not used to reading epic poems, I would start with the Iliad or the Odyssey. Milton is a tougher read, and not as entertaining.
