People might assume "I saw 'Eyes Wide Shut', I know what happens and don't need to read the book". I want to dissuade them from that.

It was wonderful in that old, high Viennese way. I was patting myself on the back for noticing the Austrian variations on German words (like "heuer" for "this year" ).

Do you know of any other good Austrian writers? I'm looking for more of that Austro-Hungarian feel (as opposed to the German feel of Hesse, Mann and Goethe).
