Re: Some carrying over from last month, some new ones. Stephen Send a noteboard - 01/03/2011 10:03:22 PM
Should finish my book of Arabic short stories with English translation soon enough, but for now I'm taking a break to read Thomas Pynchon's Vineyard (and yes, I realize how very weird it is to read Pynchon as a break from anything... but this book is hopefully short enough that I might even finish it!).

Very strange to do that. I didn't reach 200 pages in Gravity's Rainbow before the library wanted it back
Other possibilities for the rest of the month include:

- Return of the Crimson Guard by Esslemont

- On Beauty by Zadie Smith

- Phineas Finn by Anthony Trollope

and maybe pick up one of the books I've had bookmarks in for months, if so it'd most likely be Tolstoy's Anna Karenina.
