I always meant to read more of the Roman historians Camilla Send a noteboard - 02/03/2011 10:11:56 PM
I loved the Greek ones, but I never really dived into the Romans, only read some extracts. It sounds like Suetonius might be a good place to start. Too bad he lived too early to write about Heliogabalus, but I suppose Nero and Caligula are good substitutes.

Had to check to make sure I was thinking of the right guy; I learned about him as "Elagabalus." - 03/03/2011 03:33:12 AM 192 Views
