Holst wrote one of my favorite concert pieces of all time- The Planets.


Naturally Jupiter is my favorite planet movement. But things like the Second Suite in F, Somerset Rhapsody ... etc ...

St Paul's Suite was the piece that actually got me into classical music. It was all that jig's fault!


Stupid jig! That was one of the first pieces I played in orchestra... and then it just kept showing up. It is fun, though, even if it's a bit too good at getting stuck in your head. :)
