Last night, I finished a series with an unexpected ending. Literarily speaking, I appreciated the themes. Emotionally speaking, WAAAAAAAAHHHHHH
I'm still upset, even after sleeping it off. So! I want some good stories with HAPPY endings! I don't mind if some people die, but I want happily ever after for the main characters. Bonus points for romance.

CLARIFICATION: bonus points for stories WITH romance, not romance stories. I would like fantasy for this.

Robert Graves "There is no money in poetry, but then there is no poetry in money, either."
Henning Mankell "We must defend the open society, because if we start locking our doors, if we let fear decide, the person who committed the act of terror will win"

I need a book with a happy ending.

I seem to remember Modesitt's Towers of the Sunset had a romance element and a happy ending. *NM*
